Reflections on Life as Lived
Over three years ago I found myself downtrodden and overwhelmed with life and work. Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, I had been consuming books and online media seeking inspiration and life advice to little avail. I was feeling dizzied as each day passed, the results seeming out of my control. In early summer 2022 I wrote to myself:
“Many mornings I wake up looking for life changing content or comfort on my phone. I never get it. Ever since I got a phone it has been this way. I use my phone at times to seek camaraderie, engagement, closeness to others, and to try and figure out life. It never works. Instead, when I feel this way, I should wake up and make this content on my own. I should make it only when I feel that I have a reason to or something worthwhile to write or say. I should start today….”
Join me as I share reflections on life. These posts will come as I have reflections to make them, rather than on a set schedule. Look forward to poetry, prose, and other forms of short written reflection.
