Independent Reliance

To do something new often requires help and expertise of a specific form. Something cannot always be done independently. Absolute independence cannot be had. To share or do anything, it must be done in collaboration.

Try to do anything independently and see what happens. You will soon fail. Wake up and see, the floor underneath you, the faucet filling your cup, it was all made and produced by someone else. Even writing these words are the result of a collective effort, for someone taught me to write and created the medium in which these words are written.

It seems folly to focus so much on oneself. It ignores reality. And yet, we must ultimately be the one to act. To grow, we must strive to be self-sufficient and skillful at our own responsibilities.

Each independent person contributing something is what makes all else work. When we stop and cease our contributions, that is when things fall apart.
